Cannabis herb and plants approx value €210,000
While out on patrol on Operation Scale (Intelligence gathering and Burglary patrol) in the Dundalk area Gardaí from the Dundalk Detective Unit observed a car and individuals acting suspiciously at Castle Road, Dundalk they stopped and searched the car and obtained a warrant to search a premises on Castle Road, Dundalk.
During the course of the search of the premises and outbuildings Gardaí discovered a sophisticated cannabis cultivation "Grow house" with approx. 200 plants in various stages of growth with an approximate street value of €160,000(subject to analysis) they also discovered cannabis herb with an approximate street value of €50,000(subject to analysis).
Two males (both 33 years) were arrested and are currently being detained at Dundalk Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended. We have no photographs available.
