A man in his 60's is due to appear at Dublin District Court Number 3 at the Criminal Courts of Justice, this morning 21st December 2016 at 10.30am, charged in relation to the murder of Des Sullivan, 59 year, at Summerville Park, Rathmines, Dublin 6 on the 23rd May 2016.
Gardaí in Rathmines have arrested a male following the discovery of another male deceased at his house at Summerville Park Rathmines on the 23rd May 2016.
At approximately 11.30pm on the 23rd May 2016 Gardaí from Rathmines received a call that an incident had occurred at a house in Summeville Park, Rathmines, Gardaí and Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene, there they discovered an unresponsive male (59 years). The male was pronounced dead at the scene. The body remained at the scene and it was preserved overnight. Dr Marie Cassidy attended the scene this morning and later carried out a post mortem on the body at the City Morgue, Marino.
A male (67 years) was arrested this morning in Dublin in connection with the incident and is currently being detained at Rathmines Garda Station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
