Gardaí at Finglas recovered two firearms, ammunition and a stolen car on Saturday 6th August 2016.
Uniformed Gardaí patrolling the area searched an unoccupied car on Casement Avenue, Finglas shortly before 3pm. While carrying out the search two firearms, ammunition and a fuel canister were discovered concealed in the car.The car, a blue coloured Nissan Pulsar, partial registration number 152 CE was the subject of an unauthorised taking from the Dublin 13 area two weeks ago.
During the search and recovery uniformed Gardaí were assisted by local Detective Units.
The two firearms, ammunition, the car and its remaining contents were seized for technical examination. No arrests have been made and investigations are on going.
