On the 4th May 2016, a new born baby girl – (Alannah) was found at a recycling facility in Bray, Co. Wicklow.
The Baby girl was discovered by a member of staff while working in the recycling centre.
Superintendent Pat Ward who is in charge of the investigation surrounding the discovery of the new born baby girl in Bray wishes to make the following appeal to the public as three months has passed since the discovery of her body.
"Three months have passed since the discovery of baby Alannah. I am concerned for the welfare of baby Alannah’s mum. She is most likely in an anxious state of mind and in need of medical assistance. I appeal to mum to immediately seek medical treatment. Myself or Sergeant Sorcha Fitzpatrick are available at Bray Garda Station to provide assistance to mum and dad. We will handle any contact discreetly and sensitively”.
Superintendent Ward issued a further appeal to anyone who may have any information, however small, that can assist in establishing the circumstances leading to the discovery of baby Alannah to contact the gardai at Bray Garda Station on 01- 6665300, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
