He will appear before Court No. 2, Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street at 10.30am on the 25th August 2016.
As part of a significant investigation into serious organised crime in the Dublin Region, Gardaí from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau have this evening the 24th August charged a male in connection with their investigation.

As part of a significant investigation into serious organised crime in the Dublin Region involving organised crime, Gardaí from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau including the Serious Crime Task Force supported by local Gardaí carried out a search of an apartment in the Castleknock area of Dublin today (22/8/16).
During the course of the search a submachine gun and ammunition were recovered together with a significant quantity of Cocaine (subject to analysis). Drug paraphernalia along with mixing agents was also recovered during the course of this search.
One man in his 30’s has been arrested in connection with this investigation and is currently detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act 1939. Investigations are continuing.
These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
