Gardai in Thurles are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R689 at Fennor, Urlingford at approximately 8.45pm last night.
A 25 year old male motorcyclist was fatally injured when his motor cycle collided with a sign. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to Kilkenny Hospital.
This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
