As part of an ongoing investigation targeting organised criminal groups Gardaí from the DMR South Central, the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau assisted by other Garda national units carried out a number of searches of private residences in the Dublin South Central area this morning (7/4/16).
During the course of the searches cocaine and heroin (subject to analysis) was seized with an estimated street value of €65,000. A substantial amount of cash was also seized. Two males were arrested and are currently detained at Kevin Street and Kilmainham Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking Act) 1996 in connection with this investigation.
