Gardai in Killarney wish to appeal for witnesses to a two vehicle serious injury collision that occurred on the N22 Killarney to Tralee road approximately 7 miles from Killarney this evening at 7.45pm.
A woman in her 30’s who was the driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles was taken to Kerry General Hospital with injuries described as serious. The driver of the second vehicle, an official Garda van, was taken to Kerry General Hospital with what are described as minor injuries.
The road remains open but is restricted to one lane at the collision.
As this collision involved a Garda vehicle the collision has been referred to The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission which is standard procedure in such a collision.
