Fatal road traffic collision at Mullingar, Westmeath on the on the 17/9/15

Gardaí in Mullingar are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N52 between Mullingar and Delvin in the townland of Williamstown, this afternoon, Thursday 17th September, 2015 at approximately 12.30p.m.

A man in his late 40s was fatally injured when the truck he was driving left the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Mullingar Regional Hospital.

The road is currently closed pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
