Cannabis Resin with an estimated street value of €45,000 (pending analysis) has been seized by Gardaí in Sligo investigating the sale and supply of controlled drugs.
The seizure was made when Gardaí searched a house in Sligo this evening (7/10/2015). A female aged in her 20s was arrested at the scene. She is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Ballymote Garda Station.
A 53-year-old male arrested yesterday evening (6/10/2015) as part of this investigation remains in Garda custody.
The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.
Cannabis and Cocaine with an estimated value in excess of €70,000 (pending analysis) and €91,000 in cash has been seized during this operation to date.
