Gardaí investigating the murder of Silvestras Stoskus have today, Wednesday 21st October 2015, arrested six people, 3 males and 3 females, aged in their mid 20’s to mid 40’s.
The six people arrested are currently detained at Lucan, Naas, Athlone and Mullingar Garda Stations detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 and Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.
Silvestras Stoskus’ body was discovered in Broadford, County Kildare on the 18th March 2015. He had been missing from his home at Bun Daire, Kinnegad, County Westmeath since 8th March 2015. Gardaí at Leixlip began a murder investigation following a post mortem which was carried out by the State Pathologist.
