Gardai in Tralee investigating the serious assault of a male at Kileen Wood Tralee on Wednesday the 30th September 2015 can confirm that the injured male died last night the 2nd October 2015. A post mortem will be carried out later today the 3rd October at the morgue at Tralee General Hospital.
The second male who was arrested and detained was released yesterday the 2nd Oct without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
Investigations are ongoing and investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses. They are particularly appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Kileen Woods at the time of the incident to contact them.
