At approximately 5.30pm on the 21st October 2015 a male (31 years) entered a premises in Artane, Dublin 9, he threatened staff with a screwdriver and demanded cash.
He left on foot and and was observed by Gardai who were responding to the call getting into a taxi, the taxi was stopped and the male was arrested. A screwdriver and a sum of cash were recovered.
He was taken to Coolock Garda station where he was detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended. No one was injured in the incident.
He was charged yesterday evening and will appear before Ct No. 2 CCJ, Parkgate St at 10.30am this morning the 22nd October 2015.
