Gardai in Birr, Co. Offaly are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occured in the townland Clonlee, Kinnity, Co. Offaly at approximately 2.30 a.m. this morning Sunday, 18th October, 2015.
A male driver (early 20s) was fatally injured when the jeep he was driving left the road. He was the sole occupant of the jeep. His body was removed to Tullamore Regional Hospital where a post mortem will take place.
The road is currently closed, as Garda Forensic Collision investigators will examine the scene this morning and local diversions are in place.
