A 33 year old male who had been detained at Sligo Garda Station is scheduled to appear before Sligo District Court this morning at 10.30am.
He is charged in relation to this investigation.

Gardai in Sligo investigating the death and of a female in Sligo on the 28th October 2015 have arrested a male (33 years) in Sligo this evening the 28th October.
He is being detained at Sligo Garda SAtation under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
The post mortem is ongoing.

Gardai in Sligo received a call at approximately 10.30a.m. this morning, Wednesday 28th October, 2015 when they went to a house on Mailcoach Road, Sligo.
On arrival ambulance crew were at the scene and gardai encourtered a man (early 30s) carrying a knife. This man was tasered by members of the Regional Support Unit, Sligo.
Medical attention was provided to the man and also a woman (early 20s) who was in the house at the time. Both persons were removed to Sligo Regional Hosiptal for medical attention and the woman was pronounced dead shortly after 11a.m.
The scene is preserved for a technical examination and the State Pathologist, Marie Cassidy has been notified and is expected to conduct the post mortem later this evening.

No arrests have been made, at this stage. There is no further information is available at this time.
