Drug seizure and arrests Dublin 13th November 2015

As part of intelligence led operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin area, Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and the Divisional Drugs Unit in Finglas/Cabra conducted a search operation at an address in Cabra.

During the operation herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €200,000 (pending analysis) was seized.

A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation and is currently detained at Finglas Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. He can be held for up to seven days.
The investigation is ongoing.

These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
