A man in his 40s is due to appear before a special sitting of the Special Criminal Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice at 8.30pm this evening 28th November 2015.
As part of ongoing operations targeting dissident republician activity in the border region, Gardaí attached to the Special Detective Unit, Crime and Security, the Emergency Response Unit and Gardai from the Cavan/Monaghan Division arrested a male(43years) in the Scotstown area of Monaghan on Wednesday 25th November, 2015.
The man was arrested under the provisions of Section 30, Offences Against the State Act, 1939 and detained at Carrickmacross Garda Station.
