Gardai have arrested two males following a robbery at a filling station in Killybegs yesterday.
At approximately 4.50pm two males entered a filling station on the Donegal Road in Killybegs armed with iron bars. They damaged the shop, threatening staff and demand money.
The two males left the shop with a sum of money in a Ford Focus in the direction of Donegal Town.
A number of garda units responded to the call including a Traffic unit who’s car was rammed by the Ford. The Ford Focus crashed into a car outside Donegal Town and the three occupants fled on foot. Two males in their 20’s were arrested following a foot chase and the money recovered. A third male escaped.
