Gardai in Youghal, Co. Cork are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occured on the Cork side of Castlemartyr on N25 at approximately 5.15a.m. this morning Monday 4th May, 2015.
A 33 year old male pedestrian was struck by a car and removed by ambulance to Cork University Hospital. He later passed away. The driver of the car was uninjured.
The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place at the Two Mile Inn and in Castlemartyr village via Mogeely.
