As a result of an investigation by An Garda Síochána and the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) a house at Rutland Cottages, Dublin 1 was searched today (Tuesday 5th May 2015).
During the course of today’s search a quantity of tablets (approximately 4,000) were seized including unauthorised medicines and controlled drugs.
Two persons (male 35/female 39) were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 4- Criminal Justice Act 1984. During the same operation a second address was searched at Summerhill Place, Dublin 1 by Gardaí attached to the North Central Divisional Drugs Unit. During the course of this search a quantity of controlled substances were seized. A female (44) was arrested at this scene and is detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.
This operation was instigated by An Garda Siochana in conjunction with the Health Products Regulatory Authority in response to the unauthorised supply of medicinal products within the Dublin region.
