A 39 year old male is scheduled to appear before The Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street, Dublin this morning charged in relation to this incident.
At approximately 9am yesterday morning Detective Gardaí attached to Ardee Garda Station carried out a planned search of a house in Termonfeckin, Co Louth. During the search three Gardaí received injuries and required hospital treatment at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. All three have since been released.
The 39 year old man was detained at Drogheda Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The house was sealed off and a detailed technical examination was carried out.
