Gardaí are investigating the alleged false imprisonment and assault of two women, aged 19 and 21 years, which occurred at Francis Lane, Newbridge, Co Kildare between 9pm on Thursday 14th May, and 2pm Friday 15th May, 2015.
The women received non life threatening injuries during the incident.
The women received a lift on Friday afternoon, from a man driving an orange coloured car in Newbridge to Tallaght Hospital. The scene was preserved and technically examined.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information, particularly the gentleman who transported the injured women to Tallaght Hospital from Newbridge to contact them at Newbridge Garda Station on 045 - 440180, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
