As part of an intelligence led operation carried out by the newly amalagated Organised Crime Unit and Garda National Drug Unit, Gardai stopped a van on Rosemount Avenue, Artane this afternoon, Friday 13th March, 2015 at approximately 1.15p.m.
They were supported by other national units.
A firearm and other offensive weapons were recovered from the vehicle and three men were arrested at the scene. Another 3 men were arrested in a car close by and a short distance away a seventh man was arrested. Their ages range from early 20's to mid 50's.
All men are detained under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at Coolock, Ballymun, Clontarf and Raheny Garda Stations. No injuries have been reported and investigations are ongoing.
