Fatal road traffic collision at Bohola, Mayo on the 5/3/15

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the N5 at Bohola, Co. Mayo. The incident occurred at about 7.30 pm on 5th March 2015.

A female pedestrian, in her 50's, was fatally injured when she was struck by a car, which was travelling in the direction of Swinford. The male driver of the car was not injured.

 
The road at the scene in closed and is not expected to re-open until tomorrow morning. Diversions are in place and heavy goods vehicles are asked to avoid the area.
