Gardai in Malahide are investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred yesterday, the 9th March 2015.
The incident occurred between 3pm and 3.30pm when a lone male forcibly entered a house on Old Street, Malahide.
The occupant (78 years) was threatened by this male, who was in possession of a knife. He left the house with a small quantity of jewellery after locking the elderly male in a room he was not injured during the incident.
