Gardaí in Blessington are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Coonmore, Valleymount, Co Wicklow on the 14th June 2015.
The collision occurred on the Wicklow Gap (R756) road between Hollywood Village and the Kingriver Bridge at approximately 12 midday. A male motorcyclist (51 years) collided with an embankment. He was seriously injured and airlifted to Tallaght Hospital where he later died.
The road is currently closed between Hollywood Village and the Kingriver Bridge to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Examination. Local diversions are in place.
