Gardai in Burncrana, Co Donegal are investigating a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision at Burnfoot, Co. Donegal on the 12th July 2015.
The collision occurred at approximately 11.30pm at Carnashannagh, Burnfoot(on the Buncrana to Burnfoot Road R238) . The car collided with a bollard. There were three males in the car at the time of the collision. One passenger(21 years) was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene, his body was removed to the morgue at Letterkenny General hospital. The driver(18 years) and other passenger(21 years) were injured and taken to Letterkenny General hospital for treatment, their injuries are described as non life threatening.
The road is closed until at least lunchtime in order to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.
