As part of an ongoing Operation (Fiacla) into travelling criminals who engage in Burglary related offences, Gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit, assisted by units from the South Eastern Region have arrested a man and recovered a shotgun.
The arrest was made when a vehicle was stopped near Garter's Lane, Saggart, Co Dublin yesterday evening the 13th January 2015.
The man (60) was arrested at the scene and is detained at Clondalkin Garda station under Section 30 Offences against the State Act, 1939 as amended. He has been charged in relation to the incident and will appear at Blanchardstown District Court tommorrow morning, Thursday 15th January 2015 at 10.30am.
