A 33 year old man will appear at District Court 3, Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, Friday 9th January 2015 at 10.30am, charged in connection with drugs seizures in Dublin South City Centre between 6th and 8th January 2015.
During searches Gardaí discovered cocaine with an estimated value of €30,000, pending analysis.
A second man arrested during this operation remains in Garda custody at Pearse Street Garda Station detained under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

In an ongoing operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in Dublin South City Centre, Gardaí from the Pearse Street Community Policing Unit have seized cocaine with an estimated value of €30,000, pending analysis, during a number of planned searches of premises in the South City Centre between the 6th and 8th January 2015.
Two men, 33 & 27 years, have been arrested and are both currently detained at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
