Gardai in Ashbourne, Co Meath are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the Duleek to Drogheda Rd on the 8th January 2015.
The collision occurred at approximately 6am this morning the 8th January on the Duleek to Drogheda Road (R152) between a truck and a car.
There were four occupants in the car (two females and two males), one female was pronounced dead at the scene the other female is in a serious condition, the two males injuries are described as non life threatening, all have been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital.
The male truck driver was uninjured in the collision. At this stage we cannot confirm ages of those involved in the collision.
The road remains closed for a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
