Gardaí investigating the fatal shooting of Benjamin (Benny) Whitehouse at Clonard Street, Balbriggan, Co Dublin on Thursday 25th September 2014 have this morning arrested a 39 year old man in connection with this investigation.
The man was arrested in Ardee, Co. Louth this morning (3/2/15) and is currently detained at Balbriggan Garda Station under the provisions of Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007.

Gardaí in Balbriggan Co Dublin are investigating a fatal shooting incident which occurred on Clonard Street, Balbriggan shortly after 9am this morning (25/9/14)
A male believed to be in his mid 30’s was shot at the above location.
The scene is preserved pending a Garda technical examination. The office of the State Pathologists office has been notified.
