Gardaí are investigating a number of incidents in the Castle Riada Drive area of Lucan bewteen 9.30pm and 10pm on Friday 6th February 2015.
These include two attempts to hi-jack cars, a robbery from a person, and an assault. Four people, one woman and three men required hospital treatment as a result of these incidents. None of the injuries were life threatening.
Gardaí responding to calls from the public searched the area and two juvenile males were arrested on Castle Road, Lucan. A Garda recieved a head injury during the course of the arrest and required hospital treatment. He has since been released from hospital. The two juveniles are detained at Lucan Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in this area between 9.30pm – 10.20pm on the 6th February to contact them at Lucan Garda station on 01 6667300.
