Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on Arden Road, Tullamore Town, Co Offaly this afternoon, Wednesday 4th February 2015 at approximately 1pm.
A man aged in his mid 70's, was pronounced dead at scene after the vehicle he was driving collided with the kerbside and a bus. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The deceased has been removed to Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore where a post mortem is to be arranged.
There were no passengers on the bus and no other injuries have been reported.
The road is currently closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Diversions are in place.
