Gardaí in Newbridge are investigating a serious hit and run road traffic collision which occurred in Newbridge town on the 15th December 2015.
The collision occurred at approximately 8.40pm between a car and a pedestrian (65 years) on Eyre Street at the junction of John's Street at James Street. The pedestrian was seriously injured and was taken to Naas General Hospital where his injuries are described as serious. The car in question failed to remain at the scene and drove in the direction of Canning Place. The car failed to remain at the scene.
Gardaí in Newbridge are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have been on the road around the time of the collision or anyone who may have any information is asked to contact them on 045 431212, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
