Gardaí in Coolock are continueing their investigation into the false imprisonment and abduction of a family from Gracefield Road, Artane and the subsequent theft of a substancial sum of money from a cash in transit vehicle at Corballis Road Business Park at Dublin Airport on the 3rd December 2015.
Gardai would like to acknowledge the support and assistance the investigation team has received to date from the public.
Gardai in Coolock wish to renew their appeal for information concerning the movements of two vehicles. Two photographs are being provided to assist the public in recognising any activity involving both vehicles on the 2nd/3rd December 2015 or at any time in the lead up to the commission of this offence.
Gardai would like to hear from any person who may have noticed activity in respect of a silver Volkswagon Caddy van with an 09 D registration number at Gracefield Road, Artane and Chesnut Grove, Dunboyne or any activity between those locations. This vehicle was stolen at Glasnevin Avenue, Dublin on the night of the 29th / 30th October 2015. It was fitted with false number plates matching a similar authentic VW Caddy van. Gardai are also anxious to hear from any person who may have knowledge of this vehicle since the date it was stolen.
Gardai are also appealing for information on a white box type Ford Transit van which was parked in the vincinity of Corballis Road Business Park, Dublin Airport between 7am and 8.30am on the 3rd of December 2015. This vehicle bore a partial registration number 12 D.

Gardaí in Coolock have launched an investigation following the false imprisonment and abduction of a family from the Gracefield road, Artane area and subsequent theft of a substancial sum of money from a cash in transit vehicle.
At around 5am this morning the 3rd December 2015 two female occupants were taken from their home at Gracefield road in a white/Silver VW Caddy van partial registration number 09D which was driven around for a number of hours and found by Gardai. Both females were tied and bound in the back of this van in the vincinity of Chestnut Grove Estate, Dunboyne, Co. Meath
At the same time the male occupant of the house was forced to attend work at his place of employment with a cash in transit company and forced to hand over a substancial sum of money in the vinicinity of Corballis Road Business Park, Dublin Airport. Thankfully the victims involved have not suffered any physical injury but are naturally tramautised by the events.
The Gardai are appealing for the publics assistance in respect of suspicious activity in a number of specific locations between the hours of 8pm on the Wednesday the 2nd December 2015 to 8am 3rd December 2015.
Any suspicious activity between the Artane Roundabout, Gracefield Road and its environs.
Any suspicious activity in respect of a 09D Volkswagon Caddy Silver/White at Gracefield Road, Artane, Chesnut Grove, Dunboyne or between those locations.
Gardaí are also appealing for information on a small white box type van which was parked in the vincinity of Corballis Road Business Park, Dublin Airport between 7am and 8.30am on todays date.
