Fatal assault in Claremorris, Mayo on the 19/12/15

Gardaí are investigating a fatal assault which occurred at Claremount Manor, Knock Road, Claremorris, Co Mayo this morning Saturday 19th December 2015 shortly after 3am.

A male juvenile suffered fatal injuries during the incident and was pronounced dead at scene. The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

A male juvenile has been arrested in connection with this investigation and is currently detained at Claremorris Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
