Drugs seizure and arrests in Portlaoise, Laois on the 16/12/15

Gardaí from Portlaoise stopped and searched a car in the Portlaoise area this evening (Wednesday 16th December 2015) during the course of the search a quantity of cocaine and cannabis (subject to analysis) was seized with an estimated street value of €40,000.

Two men in their mid 20’s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Portlaoise Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

 
Investigations are continuing.
