Drug Seizure & Arrests on the Naas Road, Dublin on the 18/12/15

As a result of an intelligence led operation, Gardaí from the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau carried out a surveillance operation in the Naas Road/Bluebell area, on Friday afternoon at 4p.m., 18th December 2015 .

Gardaí stopped and searched two cars and seized 1 kilo of cocaine with an estimate street value of €70,000.

Three males aged 25, 29 and 60 years, were arrested at scene and were all detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Crumlin and Sundrive Road Garda Stations.

One man (60 years) has been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. The two other men (25 and 29 years) have both been charged in relation to the incident and are due to appear at Criminal Courts of Justice number 2 this afternoon, Saturday 19th December, 2015 at 4p.m.
