As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of illegal drugs in the Longford area, Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, along with the Roscommon/Longford Drugs Unit, conducted a search at an address in Co. Longford this afternoon.
During the search 7kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €154,000 (pending analysis) was seized.
A 46-year-old female was arrested by Gardaí and is currently detained at Granard Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. (She can be detained for up to 7 days.)
