Court appearance - Drug seizure and arrests in Limerick on the 15/12/15

Two men will appear in court this evening, Saturday, 19th December 2015 in relation to the seizure of €50,000 worth of heroin that occured after the search of a house at St. Mary's Park, Limerick on 15th December 2015.

The two men (43 and 40 years) were arrested and detained at Henry Street Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended and will appear at a special sitting of Kilmallock District court this evening at 5 p.m. charged in relation to the incident.

As part of an ongoing investigation into Organised Crime in the Limerick area, Gardaí from Henry Street Garda station assisted by Regional Support Unit searched a house at St Mary's Park, Limerick this evening the 15th December 2015.

During the course of the search Gardaí discovered a controlled substance believed to be heroin with an approximate street value of €50,000 (pending analysis).

 
Two males (43 and 40 years old) were arrested and are being detained at Henry Street Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice(Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
