A man in his 30s is due to appear at a sitting of the Special Criminal Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon 20th December, at 4.30pm.
Following a Garda operation targeting the activities of dissident republicans that commenced on Monday 14th December 2015 at lands and a dwelling in Jenkinstown, Co. Louth, Gardaí from Special Detective Unit assisted by local Gardaí arrested a man on Friday 18th December, 2015.
He was detained at Dundalk Garda station under the provisions of Section 30, Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.

Following on from the Garda operation targeting the activities of dissident republicans that commenced on Monday 14th December, 2015 regarding searches at lands and a dwelling in Jenkinstown, Co. Louth, Gardaí from Special Detective Unit assisted by local Gardaí have arrested a man this afternoon, Friday 18th December 2015.
The man (mid 30's) is currently detained at Dundalk Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.
