Gardai at Kildare Garda station are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Kildangan, Co Kildare on the 7th August 2015.
The collision ocurred at approximately 9.30pm at Cush on the Athy to Kildangan Rd(R417) when a van collided with a ditch and overturned.
The male driver (61 years) sole occupant was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to the morgue at Naas General Hospital where a post mortem is expected to take place later today the 8th August.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
