Gardai in Donegal are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N15 at Drumcroil, Ballintra at approximately 10.30pm last night (23.08.15).
A 70 year male was fatally injured when the SUV he was driving was involved in a collision with a jeep. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Sligo General Hospital. The three other passengers in the SUV, one male and two female, were taken to Sligo General Hospital with injuries described as serious but not life threatening. The driver and passenger of the second vehicle, a jeep, were also taken to Sligo General Hospital with injuries described as minor.
This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
