Gardai in Rathmines investigating the robbery of a male (27 years) at Rathmines Park on the 19th August 2015 have arrested and charged a male (33 years) in connection with the incident.
The incident occurred at approximately 12.15am when the injured party was walking through Rathmines Park and was approached by a male in possession of a knife who threatened him. The injured party's mobile phone was taken and the suspect ran in the direction of Rathgar Road. Gardai in Rathmines were alerted to the incident and following a short search of the area a male was arrested and detained at Rathmines under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He was charged and will appear before Court No 3, Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street, at 10.30am on the 19th August 2015.
Gardai conducted a follow up search and recovered the mobile phone.
