Gardaí investigating the fatal shooting incident which occurred in the Greenhills area, Athy, County Kildare on Friday 20th August 2015 shortly after 5pm have arrested two persons.
One male youth (early teens) was arrested in the afternoon of Saturday, 22nd August, 2015 and brought to Leixlip Garda Station and detained under Section 50, Criminal Justice Act, 2007. A second male youth (late teens) was arrested yesterday evening, Saturday 22nd August, and taken to Naas Garda Station and detained under Section 50, Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
The man arrested on Friday evening remains in custody in Kildare Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
There are now currently three persons detained in relation to this investigation.
