Gardaí at Cavan are investigating a serious road traffic collision which occurred on the Cavan By-pass at approximately 5pm this afternoon (6/4/15)
A motor cycle and a car were in collision at the above location. The 44 year old male motorcyclist was airlifted to Beaumont Hospital in a serious condition. The 24 year old male driver of the car was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving and is currently detained at Cavan Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4- Criminal Justice Act 1984.
No other persons were injured.
