The body of Joseph Whelan, missing from Ashbourne County Meath since 3rd April 2015, has been located.
Gardaí wish to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this matter. No further action required.

Gardai at Ashbourne Co Meath wish to seek the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 37 year old Joseph Whelan from Brindley Park in Ashbourne.
Joseph was last seen at his home on Friday the 3rd of April 2015 at approximately 10.30pm.
He is described as being 6’’ tall of strong build with dark coloured hair.
Anyone who has seen Joseph or who can assist in locating him is asked to contact Ashbourne Garda Station on 01-801 0600, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
