Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man, 36 years, following an incident at a house in Phibsboro, Dublin which occurred on the 11th April 2015.
Shortly after 10.30pm, Saturday 11th April 2015 Gardaí and Emergency Services were called to a house on Phibsboro Road. A man, 36 years, was taken from the scene by Ambulance to The Mater Hospital with apparent stab wounds. He was later pronounced dead on Sunday 12th April 2015.
A woman, mid 40’s, has been arrested in connection with this investigation and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Mountjoy Garda Station.
The scene is preserved pending a forensic and technical examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
