In a joint intelligence-led operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Carlow area, Gardaí from the Carlow District Detective and Drugs Units, assisted by the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and officers from Revenue and Customs Services,
seized Pentedrone, a controlled substance, with an estimated value of €20,000 following the planned search of a premises in Graiguecullen, County Carlow, this morning, Thursday 9th April 2015 at approximately 11am.
A firearm, believed to be taken in the course of a burglary, and ammunition were also recovered during the search.
A man, 49 years, was arrested at scene and is currently detained at Carlow Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
