Gardaí at Midleton Garda Station are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which occurred on Tuesday the 23rd September 2014.
At approximately 7.30pm a 71-year-old female cyclist was injured when she was struck by a car at Haymount, Lower Woodstock, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork. The driver of the car failed to remain at the scene. The woman was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital. (Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.) A technical examination of the scene was carried out.
